Javier Duarte, rights advocate: US Ambassador in México




Gov. Javier Duarte de Ochoa, accompanied by his wife Karina Macias Tubilla, met with US ambassador in Mexico, Anthony Wayne, the Municipal Palace of Veracruz.

After the meeting, the diplomat he acknowledged the state governor as an advocate for the rights of democracy, and talked about his meeting with representatives of the media.

“Journalism is very important for every democracy. In the United States, Mexico, freedom of the press is vital; I spent two years as a journalist in my career priority for me is having the opportunity to chat with reporters at several locations in Mexico and I know that the Governor is a fighter for the rights of democracy .

He announced that several workshops were organized to share experiences of journalists from the United States, especially on issues of safety, security and other practices that will strengthen the reporting period.
